Meet Chelsea Huennekens
II’ve spent my career in education and early childhood—as a teacher, director, trainer, and instructional designer—so I understand this work from the inside. I’ve also had the privilege of working alongside educators and programs doing incredibly important work with limited time and resources.Over the years, I saw the same frustration again and again: professional development was often expensive, inconvenient, overly academic, or disconnected from what educators were actually dealing with in real classrooms. Trillium Professional Learning grew out of a simple idea—that training can be practical, affordable, engaging, and still meet professional requirements.
I build courses with real teachers in mind: people managing busy classrooms, supporting children with different needs, working with families, and trying to fit professional growth into already-full lives. Whether the format is on-demand, live, in-person, CPR, or safety training, my goal is always the same—to make learning useful, approachable, and immediately applicable.
Trillium is rooted in the Pacific Northwest, but it was built with a much bigger vision. I want educators to be able to find high-quality training without the stress of hunting for it, overpaying for it, or sitting through content that doesn’t help them do their jobs better. At the heart of Trillium is a belief that educators deserve professional learning that respects their time, recognizes their expertise, and actually feels good to take.
I hope you enjoy these courses as much as I enjoyed building them for you! I created many of them in my PJs, with cozy coffee nearby and at least one cat demanding attention, so my hope is that you feel just as comfortable while you learn. Thank you for choosing me as your trainer. I know your time matters, and I’m genuinely grateful you’re spending some of it here.
